UpdateThis is my original post that was later deleted by Tumblr and the original poster.  I am reposting it because from my perspective it provided not only an opportunity for this individual black female to discuss her own victimization (one that she asked to be shared) but to also include the testimonials from other black females which does appear in the original thread.

Unfortunately, one should not be surprised to read about the repulsive behavior of the man pictured above or that the black female pictured above is propositioned often for “gutter” sex. Not only is she beautiful but she is also a non-white person which designates her as someone to be mistreated on the basis of color (or factors related to color) in all areas of people activity, including sex.

What the Racists (White Supremacists) do is attempt to make those classified as black feel ugly at every turn, economically and educationally cripple them, and later swoop in so they can have a greater chance of “sexually sewering” as many black females as possible.   Formal slavery has ended so to access black bodies in this part of the world means making a concerted effort to ensure black females are incredibly vulnerable and insecure.  In that type of condition, a person who classifies himself as white, is more likely to have a chance of “sexually sewering” or raping a vulnerable Victim or Racism with greater ease with no consequence for his malicious and predatory behavior.

Also, don’t be surprised if you read some article promoted this week proclaiming how unattractive black females are.  That’s part of the Racists’ (White Supremacists’) vicious deception.  Black females and males should minimize their consumption of Racist (White Supremacist) media. Also, don’t support confused Victims of Racism who help spread Racist (White Supremacist) deception. Don’t allow your offspring to do so either.  The attack on our self-worth and self-respect is consistent and so we really have to diligently guard our psyche.

To end our centuries-long mistreatment and the repulsive behavior as detailed in the story below, we have to replace the system of Racism (White Supremacy), guaranteeing no person is mistreated and the people who need the most help get the constructive help they need.

This one is very serious, guys:

I came upon these two on the sidewalk. They were having a conversation. “Excuse me,” I said, addressing the girl: “I’m sorry to interrupt, but is there anyway I can take your photo?”

“Why would you want my photo?” she asked.
“Because you look beautiful,” I said. And she did. She was Sudanese. There is a very distinct beauty among people from the Sudan, and she was filled up with it. Suddenly the man cut in:
“I was just telling her she was beautiful,” he said.

Naively, I assumed I had just walked up on one stranger giving a compliment to another. I wanted to capture the moment. “Let me take your photograph together,” I said. The man seemed reluctant, he started smiling nervously and inching away. But the girl called him back.

“Come take a picture with me,” she said. Encouraged by her attention, he returned. She put her arm around him, and I took the photo.

As I examined the photos on my camera, the man started whispering to the girl. She answered him in a loud voice: “I told you! I’m not that kind of girl.” She seemed agitated now. Finally sensing that I had misread the situation, I stepped between them. The man began hurrying down the sidewalk.

When the man left, the girl’s demeanor changed completely. She seemed shaken. Her eyes were tearing up. “He just offered me five hundred dollars to go out with him,” she said. “And then when I said ‘no,’ he offered me one thousand. Why does this always happen to me?”

“It happens a lot?” I asked.

“All the time,” she said. “I’m sorry I’m getting emotional. I just can’t go out of my house without this kind of thing happening. I have a son. I’m a mother. I would never degrade myself like that. I just don’t understand why this keeps happening.”

“Do you mind if I tell this story?” I asked.
“Please,” she said. “Tell it.”

Let’s hope this man, and all men, realize the emotional damage they are inflicting on the women they try to buy. In the meantime, feel free to SHARE.*

*With this man being an Orthodox Jew, I hope that all long-time followers of HONY would by now have realized the high respect I hold for the Orthodox Jewish community as a whole.

Also she is gorgeous. o-o

i do love it when my case makes itself without me needing to say much more. :)

Ahh I haven’t been weeping in a corner half inarticulate over the accumulation of things like this nope

Not at all

i have been assumed to be “for sale” everywhere ive gone as well. :/

I’m usually more amazed to hear a Black woman who doesn’t have a story like this to share, but she is magnificent.

What a disgusting man. She has more grace and magnificence then he will ever have.

Why would he offer her money to go out with him? That’s skeezy as fuck. She said no and it means no. Predators come in all shapes and forms, and I’m so sorry that she and other women of color have to fend off attacks in their daily lives, shit should not be happening.

Bolded mine.

I’m going to need the White naivete to stop.  It doesn’t make you look innocent, just willfully clueless, obtuse and utterly insincere.

He offered her money because to him and most other folk in the world, she’s a nigger whore because she’s Black, female and outside. This is how BW are treated on the daily and most of us don’t get offers of $500 or a grand.  We get approached by WM all the time to let them do vile things to us for a fast food dinner.  And it doesn’t matter how well we’re dressed or if there is a wedding ring clearly present or if we’re not attracted to men at all (much less the shitstains who insult us).  We’re deemed as for sale if not at least barter-able.

And we’re expected to take it as a compliment. After all, a WM wants to fuck us and is even willing to offer us something for the privilege of servicing his dick.  Hell, our Black asses should be paying HIM! Ain’t we been deemed the utter bottom of the desirability totem pole?  Haven’t there been “studies” debuted on respected websites stating as fact that BW are the ugliest humans on the planet?  So how dare we take any offense.

I honestly do not believe WM constantly “mistake” any BW as a prostitute or at least willing to indulge him for a price.  I don’t think every WW I see gets shitfaced drunk and shows her tits in public a la Girls Gone Wild.  And I don’t see how anyone could think all the members of a racial group are one way invariably.  I don’t see how anyone could honestly mistake any random BW as a hooker.  So I believe it’s utterly dishonest.  I think it’s a sneaky, cowardly, passive-aggressive way to insult BW, to call us nigger whores without using those words, to let us know that no matter how educated, successful, well-partnered and loved we are, we’re just Black pussies to be used and discarded.

In Regards to "Person-First" (a poem)

Do not call me by “person-first”

I am not a “person with autism”

I am an autistic person.

I am a queer person

I am not a person with autsim, I am not a person with queerity

Autism is just as much a part of me as being queer

"Palestinian and Israeli LGBTQs are being cynically used by the Israeli government and Israeli propaganda in order to “pinkwash” Israel’s international public image. Israeli government, through the ministry of Tourism, makes use of the relative tolerance towards Jewish LGBTQs (especially in Tel Aviv), as a way of diverting attention from the many Israeli war crimes performed in Gaza, the occupied Palestinian territories, and inside Israel itself. Thus, on the backs of the Jewish and Palestinian LGBTQ communities, Israeli propaganda can market a false image of Israel as a “liberal” “progressive” “gay haven”, while demonising Arabic Middle Eastern Cultures and presenting them as inherently LGBT-phobic—an Islamophobic notion whose goal is to further justify Israeli war crimes in Gaza and the occupied territories as well as against Palestinian citizens of Israel."

Yay! So nice to see a quote from this article ^_^ FYI: I wrote another academic article solely about this topic. I submitted it to GLQ and will know whether or not it’s accepted within 6 months.

I just finished reading it, and it’s such a brilliant article overall! Also I like the term “queer radical spaces of resistance” I’m going to use that more often now. Also I undoubtedly picked up some new knowledge from this article! I recommend everyone reads it.

Fresh Air book critic Maureen Corrigan reviews “The Trip to Echo Spring" by Olivia Laing. It’s part memoir, part history about the connection between writing and drinking:

Olivia Laing, wisely, doesn’t reach any one-size-fits-all conclusions about the bond between the pen and the bottle. Some of her writers drink, it seems, to quell panic and self-disgust; others as a stimulant; others for who-knows-what reason. And, though she’s a marvelous writer herself, Laing sticks to her original premise that alcoholic writers are the most eloquent chroniclers of their own addiction. In that spirit then, I’ll let poet John Berryman have the last word on the awful alliance between drinking and writing. This is a stanza that Laing quotes from Berryman’s “Dream Songs”:

Hunger was constitutional with him,
wine, cigarettes, liquor, need need need
Until he went to pieces.
The pieces sat up & wrote.

The best part is, this post actually does something, it offers support, unlike one of those useless “reblog if you care” posts.

To hold our tongues when everyone is gossiping, to smile without hostility at people and institutions, to compensate for the shortage of love in the world with more love in small, private matters; to be more faithful in our work, to show greater patience, to forgo the cheap revenge obtainable from mockery and criticism: all these are things we can do.
